Welcome to Live! Cheshire
We are a small vibrant charity that provides a varied programme of fully inclusive and accessible clubs and social activities for children, young people and adults.
Based at New Scene Centre in Chester, people come from throughout Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales to take part, to make friends and have fun. Whilst doing so they develop their self-esteem and confidence, improve their physical well-being and develop social, vocational and independent living skills.
As a charity our role is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of those taking part, challenge disadvantage and promote choice and inclusion.

NEW VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY
Live! Trustees are looking for an additional Trustee to join the Board. Live! is a vibrant registered charity based at New Scene Centre, Newton in Chester. Live! is a well-funded Charitable Incorporated Organisation with a turnover of about £450,000 in 2020/2021, with 16 employees – some of whom are part time.
Trustees play a very important role in making sure that Live! is run in the interests of the people it is there to support. They strategically oversee the management and administration of the organisation. We are particularly looking to recruit a Trustee with an interest in financial planning and accounts or Human Resources, however we would value other skills. It is enthusiasm and commitment for supporting Live! that is important.
Trustees meet monthly, early on Monday / Tuesday evenings at New Scene for a couple of hours. In addition to these meetings, Trustees are encouraged to visit the various sessions and share in the activities. Reimbursement of travelling expenses is available.
Live! aims to advance, promote and encourage education and learning opportunities for children, young people and adults with disabilities and to increase their capacities to make informed choices about their individual lifestyles within their own community.
Live! provides a varied programme of fully inclusive and accessible clubs and social activities for children, young people and adults with disabilities. Through our activities, we encourage our members to have fun and build friendships whilst developing confidence and self-esteem. IMPORTANT UPDATES ON OUR SERVICES
Before you book onto any
sessions you must join as a member through Member Mojo.
Our session prices have risen to £6, they continue to be subsidised by external funding, however our costs have increased in the last 12 months. We think they still represent great value for money.
Thank you to all our funders for their financial support at this difficult time, without this we would not be able to run our sessions, this is greatly appreciated.
